Welcome to All Things Olive.

When we started, in 2004, we knew that consumers were ready for real extra virgin olive oil.  To source it, we turned not to Europe, but to California.

From the beginning, we've worked with a small group of family-owned farms.  Each grows and harvests their own olives.  Each produces and bottles their own olive oil.  And each voluntarily submits their oil to the California Olive Oil Council, an independent third party, for certification as extra virgin.

Our producers range from Carmel Valley south of the San Francisco Bay area, up through the Napa and Sacramento Valleys, and northeast along the Sierra Nevada Foothills toward Lake Tahoe.

This region features distinctive terrains and climates, and a wide variety of olive cultivars. Each farm we partner with also reflects a passion for making olive oil that extends from the tree to the table.

Together, these factors produce olive oils of surprising complexity, character, and quality.

The result for olive oil lovers is an unrivaled selection of certified extra virgin olive oils ranging in flavor from sweeter-than-butter to leafy-green-and-grassy.

We're very proud of our producers and we encourage you to meet them.  They're making some of the finest extra virgin olive oil in the world today.

While you're here, visit our page on how extra virgin olive oil is created.

Even better, stop by for a sample at one of our markets in Maryland or Washington, DC.

We invite you to taste the difference that real, fresh extra virgin olive oil from California can make!

On the Road with All Things Olive

On a recent trip to Slovenia we had the fun and educational opportunity to do a tasting and tour of the Lisjak Olive Oil company in Koper.
